Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly been told he must sing live in the new film version of Les Miserables.
The Borat star is set to play evil villain Monsieur Thenardier in The King's Speech director Tom Hooper's big screen version of the hit musical.
A source told The Sun: "Unlike most film musicals, the cast will record their vocals live on camera rather than go into a studio first then mime on film to the pre-recorded vocal.
"It's going to be hard work for Sacha and the rest of the cast. First they have to learn the complex songs, then they'll have to get it right on set in front of the other stars and crew."
Sacha will be joined on set by Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.
The Ali G funnyman - who plays the intimidating Station Inspector in Martin Scorsese's new 3D adventure Hugo - will also appear in his new comedy The Dictator, due out next year.
