Sam Rockwell film gets distributor

Sam Rockwell's crime drama A Single Shot has found a US distributor.

Tribeca Film and Well Go USA Entertainment have acquired the US rights to the film according to Variety.

A Single Shot follows Sam's character as he goes out hunting and accidentally kills a girl in the woods who has a box of money next to her belonging to a criminal gang.

The Seven Psychopaths actor's hunter character then finds himself pursued by the group of criminals who are baying for his blood.

It also stars William H Macy, Jeffrey Wright, Jason Isaacs and Kelly Reilly and is directed by David M Rosenthal.

The film is set in West Virginia but will be shot in Vancouver, Canada.

A Single Shot is set to be released on video-on-demand on August 20 but will get a cinema release on September 20.

Sam can be seen later this year in the comedy Better Living Through Chemistry where he stars with Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotta and Jane Fonda.
