Andy Samberg has joked that Hotel Transylvania will wipe the floor with acclaimed movie The Master at the next Academy Awards.
Andy lent his voice to Adam Sandler's new animated film about Dracula, and told Collider it is well able to take on Paul Thomas Anderson's Oscar favourite.
He quipped: "In my opinion, this year's Oscars is a two-horse race. It's us - Hotel Transylvania - and The Master. And I think we've got the edge."
When asked how he got involved in Hotel Transylvania, US funnyman Andy said: "Sandler just called me and told me I was doing it!"
He added: "I did some recording at the same time as Sandler which was cool. It's the first time I ever had that happen on an animated movie because I'm usually in New York, usually I'm just playing against no one.
"But I'm always fascinated with how well they make scenes work. They make you do a million takes of different inflections and ways of reacting, and then they are very meticulous at piecing it together in a way that makes it sound like a natural conversation."
