Sandler back for Grown Ups sequel?

Adam Sandler starred in the comedy Grown Ups

Adam Sandler could be appearing in his first sequel.

Grown Ups screenwriter Fred Wolf, who co-wrote the film's script with Adam, is said to have been hired back to write a follow-up, according to Variety.

But there is no confirmation that Adam will return and his involvement is rumoured to depend on the strength of the script, the magazine said.

The 2010 buddy-comedy, which starred Adam, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, David Spade and Chris Rock as childhood friends, was a surprise box-office hit despite receiving mostly negative reviews from critics.

Adam, who next stars opposite Katie Holmes in comedy Jack And Jill, has been filming I Hate You, Dad with Andy Samberg and Leighton Meester.
