Sandler comedy gets new title

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's romantic comedy has been renamed to The Familymoon.

The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates stars are to be reunited on the Warner Bros film, which was formerly known as Blended, reported Deadline.

Community actor Joel McHale and Bridesmaids actress Wendi McLendon-Covey have also been added to the cast of the comedy, according to The Wrap.

Adam and Drew will play former disastrous blind daters, who later find themselves and their children from past marriages holidaying together at a family resort.

Joel will play Drew's ex-husband while Wendi is taking over from US chat show host Chelsea Handler to be cast as her best friend, who has no children.

Produced by Adam's Happy Madison and Mike Karz's Gulfstream Pictures, The Familymoon, which is directed by Frank Coraci, is scheduled for a release in spring 2014.

As well as a reunion for stars Adam and Drew, the film also marks the continuing partnership between Adam and Frank, who worked together on comedies Click and The Waterboy.
