Sangster misses Phineas premiere

Thomas Sangster was notable by his absence at the Los Angeles premiere of Disney's Phineas And Ferb movie.

The British actor, who voices Ferb, was in the UK and unable to join co-stars Ashley Tisdale and Vincent Martella on the teal carpet for Phineas And Ferb: Across The Second Dimension.

"Where are you, Thomas?" joked the show's creator Swampy Marsh. "You're keeping us waiting."

Nowhere Boy star Thomas, who came to fame as Liam Neeson's stepson in Love Actually, is set to return to the big screen next year alongside Eva Longoria and Billy Bob Thornton in The Baytown Disco.

But other stars were there to help join in the celebrations and Ashley, who voices Phineas and Ferb's older sister Candace, chatted to young fans, as a truck carrying a giant Phineas and Ferb cruised the carpet blowing out bubbles.

The TV movie is a feature-length version of the television series and sees stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb battle the evil Dr Doofenshmirtz after discovering their pet platypus Perry is a secret agent.

Mark Wahlberg was among those who came to watch the movie, bringing his wife Rhea, daughter Ella and son Michael Brendan.

The Fighter star, who arrived at the premiere casually dressed in a baseball cap and grey t-shirt, has already raved about how much his kids love the show, telling OK! magazine in January that he thought it was "fantastic".

Another series of the hit Disney show, which has guest starred the likes of Tina Fey, Ben Stiller and Jamie Oliver, is also in the pipeline.

:: Phineas And Ferb: Across The Second Dimension will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney XD this autumn.
