Sarandon won't reprise film role
Susan Sarandon has said she can't see herself making a Thelma And Louise sequel.
The Oscar-winning actress sent the Twittersphere into overdrive when she posted a snap of herself with the film's co-star Geena Davis.
But Susan, 67, who now stars in Tammy alongside Melissa McCarthy, said that she wouldn't want to reprise her role despite the appetite for a return to the road-trip movie.
"I'd love to work with her (Geena) again," Susan said of her former co-star.
But she added: "They have kind of knocked around a few ideas of a sequel to Thelma And Louise, but they were so ridiculous.
"I remember at one point saying, 'Well what would we do?' And someone said, 'You'd collect a big cheque, that's what you would do', but I don't really know how you would resurrect them [the characters] in any way."
Directed by Ridley Scott, Thelma And Louise hit the big-screen in 1991 and was a huge hit for Susan, Thelma and Brad Pitt.
:: Tammy is released in cinemas on Friday, July 4.
