Kaya Scodelario has revealed she had to pack her razor away for three months while shooting new film Wuthering Heights.
The ex-Skins star, who plays the lead role of Cathy in the new adaptation of Emily Bronte's 19th-century novel, said director Andrea Arnold was keen for the cast to look as authentic as possible.
"Andrea told all the girls at the beginning of the shoot, 'Grow everything'. Everyone was, like, 'Urgh'," Kaya told The Sun.
"I was really impressed with what I achieved in three months. We'd go to the pub in the evening and I'd hear people chanting, 'Get your pits out'. I'd just sit and show them."
Kaya, 19, will also be appearing on the big screen alongside Dakota Fanning and Olivia Williams in the drama Now Is Good and the upcoming thriller Twenty8k.
