Sean Bean has signed up for new sci-fi action film Jupiter Ascending.
The British actor is set for the starring role of Stinger - described as a "Han Solo-type character" - in Lana and Andy Wachowski's new movie, reported Deadline.
He joins Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum in the film.
The Wachowskis have been keeping plot details to themselves, but it's thought the film centres around the idea that people on Earth are being observed by superior beings from other worlds.
Ted actress Mila will apparently play a woman who is targeted for assassination when the Queen of the Universe decides she is a threat to her rule.
Magic Mike star Channing recently revealed it would be a "crazy action movie".
He told MTV.com: "They're going to reinvent the wheel as far as action goes, all over again."
Jupiter Ascending is due for release in 2014.
