Selena Gomez eyes serious roles?

Selena Gomez says she doesn't quite feel accomplished as an actress

Selena Gomez has admitted she doesn't really "feel accomplished" when it comes to her acting.

The 20-year-old former Wizards Of Waverly Place star told Teen Vogue that she wants to branch out and create a "different persona" when it comes to her screen roles.

Actress and singer Selena, who appears on the cover of the magazine's September issue, said: "Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I'm super happy with what my show accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously.

"I don't necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting."

Selena, who is dating pop heartthrob Justin Bieber, has starred in films such as Princess Protection Programme and last year she was seen in romantic comedy Monte Carlo.

But she said of that role: "Monte Carlo was a good step for me at the time, but I would never want to do something like that again."

Selena also suggested she would be branching out in her music, saying her next album would be a little "older".

She admitted there is one star she would love to team up with to make a record.

"Who I would die to work with, but I don't think he ever would - I don't even think he's doing music any more - is Justin Timberlake. Just because I love his music sooo much," she said.
