Seth Rogen may team up with Evan Goldberg again to direct The Interview.
The Pineapple Express writers and long-time collaborators could be headed to the director's chair for a second time for the "topical comedy", following their directorial debut with This Is The End, said The Hollywood Reporter.
James Franco is being eyed for the lead role of a talk show host, while Seth is "poised to star" as his producer in the upcoming film, which is about the pair, who get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea.
Written and produced by Seth and Evan, production on The Interview is expected to begin later this year.
Seth - who has most recently been on the big screen opposite Barbra Streisand in The Guilt Trip, which Evan produced - stars in post-apocalyptic comedy This Is The End, which features cameo appearances from a star-studded cast including James, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Emma Watson, Michael Cera, Jason Segel, Paul Rudd and Rihanna.
The 30-year-old Canadian star will next be in Nicholas Stoller's comedy Townies, which is produced by Evan and also stars Zac Efron.
