Seth takes Hornet role seriously

Seth Rogen took his role in The Green Hornet seriously

Seth Rogen seems to be getting carried away with his new role as The Green Hornet.

"I take it very seriously, I've been going to schools and giving lectures on not doing drugs," the comic actor teased.

The 28-year-old took on a big task in helping bring the superhero film to the big screen. In addition to taking on the lead, he also penned the script with his writing partner Evan Goldberg and served as one of the movie's executive producers.

"It's exciting to get to make one of these movies because we really felt like we had something to contribute to the genre," Seth explained on the red carpet.

He added: "We felt like we could make a very different version of one of these movies."

But as a fan of the TV show growing up, Seth admitted he had worried about living up to the original shows.

"I was always a big Bruce Lee fan so that was something I was very aware of," he revealed.

The Green Hornet is directed by Michel Gondry.
