Seyfried unfazed by porn star role

Amanda Seyfried has turned out for a special screening of her new film Lovelace in London.

The actress plays Linda Lovelace, a porn star famous for appearing in Deep Throat at the encouragement of her husband.

Lovelace later broke free of the industry and worked to make sure other women were not exploited in the same way.

Wearing a sheer blue Gaultier dress and red lipstick, Amanda explained she welcomed the controversial role.

She said: "I'll always consider any kind of questionable content, the darker the better for me. There isn't a lot out there that's really well written and ready to be shot so perfectly as this was."

The 27-year-old actress said she knew there was some risk involved in playing the porn star.

"There was a moment where I thought this could be not good at all, this could be really bad, but when I met Peter (Sarsgaard, who plays her husband Chuck) and we started doing rehearsals I was like this is exactly right I don't have any fears going forward."

Amanda said the nude scenes the film involved had not worried her either.

She said: "I knew I was never going to show the one thing that I don't ever want to show but I think nudity is not really such a big issue, it's costume. Everything is choreographed so you always feel safe."

Also appearing in the film are Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Chloe Sevigny, Chris Noth, Adam Brody and James Franco, who plays Hugh Hefner.
