Sheen set for Spider-Man 2 stint

Martin Sheen will be back for The Amazing Spider-Man sequel

Martin Sheen has confirmed that he will be back for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The 72-year-old actor said he will reprise his role of Uncle Ben Parker in the upcoming sequel to Marc Webb's franchise reboot.

He told RTE's Late Late Show: "I'm going to be Uncle Ben in Spider-Man once again next year. We shoot it in February."

Andrew Garfield will return to play the webbed superhero, alongside love interest Emma Stone. Dane DeHaan will play Peter Parker's troubled best friend Harry Osborn.

Jamie Foxx is set to play villain Electro, while Shailene Woodley has a small role as Mary Jane Watson.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due out in 2014.
