Silverman: No nude scene regrets

Sarah Silverman filmed a nude scene for Take This Waltz

Sarah Silverman has joked that she had a heart attack when watching her nude scene in Take This Waltz.

The comedienne and actress, who stars alongside Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen in director Sarah Polley's romantic drama, said despite her nerves, she was glad to have revealed all in a shower scene.

"Last night I completely was watching it and having fun and when we were (watching) the swimming pool I was like 'Oh my God it's coming up' and I started having a panic attack and then when the naked scene came on I had an actual heart attack," she said at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"But you know what I'm proud to have done it and I'm glad and Sarah really wanted it to be real bodies and real women of all shapes and size and I really wanted to be a part of it."

She quipped: "I actually gained about 28 pounds for the role I wanted to be lumpier and then I thought wouldn't it be interesting to have the posture of a lady cave man. So I'm really happy with how it came off."

The funnywoman also praised filmmaker Sarah - who also directed the Julie Christie film Away From Her.

"The reason why it was so fun was because of Sarah, when a director has a vision and knows how to get what she wants and is very specific but she does that without ever stopping being lovely and warm and effusive," she said.

"The first day I shot I did my very first take and she came over to me and she said 'That was amazing'. And I was like, 'Oh my God, thank you'. But then this girl brought her coffee and she goes, 'This coffee is amazing'."
