Simon Cowell pledges support to ‘different’ X Factor crop
Saturday, 5 December 2009
Simon Cowell has said that this year's X Factor contestants are not “big belters” — but they will receive plenty of support.
The music supremo was speaking at the launch of online back-up service Livedrive, which he attended in support of his brother Nicholas.
Cowell was asked if this year's crop were as good as those in |previous years.
“I've got to put them in the studio yet,” he said. “I'm happy with them but they're different. They're not like these big belting artists.
“They're going to get a lot of support whatever happens.”
Cowell said he had not made his mind up about the winner's single.
He was also asked about fellow judge Cheryl Cole.
“You can't not fancy her,” he said, and conceded that he probably fancied her more than she fancied him.
The Livedrive back-up system boasts users can just “install it and forget about it”.
Users do not need to remember to back up their file or leave their computers on over night.
The system provides unlimited back-up for £3.95 a month.

Who cares if they are not belters, it would be very moronic and ignorant to say that singers aren't great if they cannot belt a tune.
Best singers who ever lived never did the kind of music so called 'belters' like mariah carey did so it's a pointless article.
