Singing lessons for Annie's Diaz
Cameron Diaz has admitted she had to work hard on her singing skills for the Annie remake.
The actress plays Miss Hannigan in the musical remake - with Quvenzhane Wallis as the titular orphan and Jamie Foxx as a Daddy Warbucks-style character called Will Stacks - and confessed her vocals needed a bit of work.
She told Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show: "Well, I sang in My Best Friend's Wedding. That was more true to my voice. But, that's my karaoke voice, you see.
"I had to actually have a voice for this film, so I did a lot of training. As much as I could with this wonderful woman who helped me find a voice that could be presentable."
A new international trailer for the film has just been released, showing Cameron as an evil Colleen Hannigan terrorising the children at the orphanage.
It also shows Rose Byrne as Grace Farrell, Stacks' faithful personal assistant.
The movie is due to be released in December.
