Alexander Skarsgard is in talks to star in a new thriller about a group of eco terrorists.
The True Blood star would join rising star Brit Marling in The East which she co-wrote with her The Sound Of My Voice collaborator Zat Batmanglij, according to the Hollywood Reporter's HeatVision blog.
The films is about a female agent who infiltrates an eco-terrorist group called The East, which seeks revenge against unethical corporations. Alexander is set to play the leader.
Zat will direct the movie, which is being produced by Michael Costigan of Scott Free Productions and is due to start shooting in October and November in Nashville.
Alexander will next be seen in Lars Von Trier's Melancholia, which opens in cinemas on September 30.
