Slash to make horror flicks
Slash is to head into the movie industry, having created Slasher Films with production company Scout Productions.
The legendary guitarist of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver fame plans to use his fitting name, to produce "edgy contemporary horror fare with a nod to the thrillers of the 1970s and 1980s", reported Deadline.
"I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do," Slash said in a statement.
"My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy."
Slash's first film Nothing To Fear is already underway, with production set to start next year.
Nothing To Fear, penned by Jonathan WC Mills, is a horror thriller about a family who find themselves tormented by an ancient blood-sucking demon after they move to a small town in rural Kansas.
