Slater living action hero fantasy

Christian Slater loved working with Sylvester Stallone on Bullet To The Head

Christian Slater has revealed his latest film was a chance for him to live out his childhood fantasy of being an action hero.

The True Romance star appears opposite Sylvester Stallone in Sly's latest action showpiece, Bullet To The Head, and admitted it was a dream come true.

Christian said: "I used to run around in my back yard and pretend to be an action hero. When I was flying back from Copenhagen there was a lady watching Expendables 2, and Stallone and Jean Claude Van Damme were shooting it out. It reminded me of what I used to do when I was seven. This [job] gives you the opportunity to just keep playing."

He said of Sly: "He's always been one of my heroes. Some movie stars are so iconic that it's hard to see them as a person, you know? He's like an object almost, so it's fascinating to be around that kind of energy."

And working together on the film, he got a special birthday treat from his hero.

Christian revealed: "He's certainly an intimidating force to deal with.

"But when the cameras were off, he couldn't have been more of a gentleman. It was my birthday on set and he brought out a cake and sang Happy Birthday - it was a blast!"

:: Bullet To The Head is in cinemas now.

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. The two of you get along very well, but beware of the financial toll this relationship will take. The object of your affection likes expensive things. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
