Sylvester Stallone is hoping to get Jackie Chan on board for The Expendables 3.
The writer-director-actor, who is penning the third instalment of the action series, revealed that Steven Seagal will not be appearing in the upcoming movie, but promised "mountains of surprises".
"Writing EX3 at the moment... There are going to be mountains of surprises. No S Seagal, sorry, but maybe we get lucky with J Chan! And some young bloods!!!" he tweeted.
He added: "By young I mean 22 to 27. Not big bruisers but tech wizard, super brains and a young woman who is not a sex symbol but funny, tough, REAL."
Sly - who wrote and directed the first film, but handed over the directing reins to Simon West for Expendables 2 - is expected to reprise his role in the third Expendables alongside returning cast members Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li.
The action star also said he wants to bring more humour to movie number three.
"EX3 needs NEW blood and more humor... The films were always meant to be more on the humorous side with moments of drama," he wrote.
Jackie has already confirmed that he has been invited to join The Expendables 3, telling Singapore's Cinema Online: "Sly had invited me to be in Expendables 2 but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes."
