Smith's Colossus gets MIB revamp
Will Smith's upcoming sci fi film Colossus is to be given a revamp by Men In Black script writer Ed Solomon.
The Independence Day star signed up to star in a remake of 1970 movie Colossus: The Forbin Project back in 2007 with Ron Howard attached to direct.
The project has been sidelined for some time, but is about to get moving again as Solomon - who has a long history of working with Smith - has signed up to rewrite the script, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details are being kept top secret, but the original film told the story of a massive American defence computer, called Colossus, which develops a life of its own and tries to take over the world.
Smith is signed up to play Dr Charles Forbin, who created the computer, and is therefore the only person who knows how to stop it.
Ron Howard is still attached to produce the film, but it is unknown if he will still act as director.
