Zack Snyder has kept his lips tightly shut on his Superman reboot, even refusing to reveal if it will be in 3D.
The Sucker Punch filmmaker admitted he had his doubts about the new 3D technology, but may consider it for the superhero movie.
"3D has got its place - 3D has energised the market a little bit and that's cool," he said.
"I know a lot about 3D. I've made a 3D movie. I took all their classes and I talked to everybody and I've kind of made it my business to understand 3D. But if I ever make a 3D movie from scratch that's live action, I'm not going to do that."
He continued: "I accept 3D as an enhanced visual and photographic experience. The problem also is that technicians right now are sort of telling the filmmakers how to make a movie and that's not good. And when someone starts to try and say: 'No, it's another way of telling a story.' I'm not sure I'm into that."
When asked if Superman won't be in 3D, Zack replied: "No, I didn't say that."
