Sofia Boutella has revealed how working with Madonna prepared her for StreetDance 2.

The Algerian-born French dancer, who portrays Latin dancer Eva in the sequel, has toured with the MDNA star twice and most recently performed alongside her at the America Super Bowl halftime show.

"It's amazing to work with her. She's a really strong woman and she's really inspiring," she said.

"Working with her taught me a lot in terms of discipline and what it takes to accomplish what you want artistically. She's also a great woman and an amazing mother. It has been eight years since I started working with her."

She added: "When you dance with Madonna, you're not only dancing. She's also telling stories so you are acting as well. So it felt natural to come into acting."

However, Sofia, who comes from a street and hip-hop dance background, admitted learning Latin dancing wasn't easy.

"It was really challenging and pretty hard. I had three months to accomplish this - it was really intense but really exciting," she said.

"I'm a dancer so even if I hadn't done Latin dance, I had the ability. It would take years to master it, so I wouldn't say that I mastered it but I got close to it for the character."

:: StreetDance 2 is in cinemas now.

Capricorn:

Your dry humour will be very popular. It's always difficult bringing a large group of people together. Everybody feels like they are walking on eggshells. After cracking a few jokes, you'll put the group at ease. Resist the temptation to make fun of relatives, especially the more sensitive members of the group. Nobody likes feeling singled out. Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
