Spader set for Avengers' Ultron gig
James Spader is set to face off against the Avengers in the upcoming movie sequel.
The Emmy-winning actor has taken the coveted role of villain Ultron in Joss Whedon's Marvel follow-up, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, reported Marvel.com.
He would join Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Samuel L Jackson, who are all expected to reprise their superhero roles for the movie.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to play Pietro Maximoff and Quicksilver, while Elizabeth Olsen is rumoured to be in the running to portray his screen sister Wanda Maximoff and her Scarlet Witch alter-ego.
James, who won three Emmy Awards for his role as Alan Shore in Boston Legal and The Practice, was last seen in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. He will return to the small screen in the autumn in The Blacklist.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron, written and directed by Joss, is scheduled to start filming in London in March 2014, and will be released in cinemas in May 2015.
