Rafe Spall has said he is fulfilling "every boy's dream" by working with Ridley Scott.
The Hot Fuzz star appears in the Alien director's new sci-fi epic Prometheus with Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron.
Rafe said: "It's amazing. You try and be cool and you're in a space suit and a director comes over and speaks to you and you play it all cool going, 'Yeah, yeah', and you go, 'Ridley Scott just gave me some directions!'
"And that's pretty cool because at heart I love films, so to work with a genuine auteur is amazing. Once in a lifetime really. Every boy's dream."
The Scouting Book For Boys actor said he was unable to reveal anything about the highly anticipated new film.
"No one can talk about Prometheus!" he laughed.
The film, set in the future, tells the story of the crew of the spaceship Prometheus sent to explore an extraterrestrial race as part of a mission to uncover the origins of humanity.
