Spider-Man to premiere in London

Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx are set to swing into London for the world premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The stars will be joined by co-star Dane DeHaan, the film's director Marc Webb and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square on April 10, ahead of the film's release on April 18.

Andrew, whose mother hails from London, said: "I'm delighted to see the world premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 take place in my home town. I can't wait to present this movie to audiences across the UK."

The 30-year-old will reprise his role as Peter Parker and his web-slinging superhero alter-ego Spider-Man, alongside Emma as love interest Gwen Stacy in the sequel by Sony Pictures.

Jamie will portray the film's villain Electro, while Dane is to play Peter's friend and nemesis Harry Osborn.

Fans across the UK and Ireland will have the chance to be a part of the event, as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will also be shown simultaneously at 20 regional premieres.
