Standing ovation as Boyle returns to tour

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle received a standing ovation when she returned to the talent show's live tour.

Boyle (48) has missed several live dates, including shows in Nottingham on Saturday, to take rest days due to the stress of being in the spotlight.

But she returned to the stage yesterday, performing at two shows at London’s Wembley Arena. Boyle sang her semi-final tune, Memories, from the musical Cats, and also I Dreamed A Dream, from the musical Les Miserables, the song which brought her worldwide fame.

A spokeswoman for the show said: “They were on their feet for her. It was a standing ovation.” The tour comes to Belfast on July 1.

Beware of spending beyond your means. Sticking to a budget will help you survive the festive season relatively unscathed. It will be easier than you think to let your grip on the purse strings slip especially as the big day draws near. Let Christmas be about loving, sharing and giving. Spend quality time preparing food, making decorations and playing games together. If you haven't sent all your cards or round robin emails give some thought about what you will be sharing with others this year.More
