Stanley Tucci: I'd like to direct

Stanley Tucci has revealed he is "ready" to head back to the director's chair.

The Hunger Games actor, who reprises his role as Caesar Flickerman in the sequel Catching Fire, admitted that he is hungry to take the reins again, five years after his last film, Blind Date.

"I haven't directed a movie for a few years so I'm ready to do that again," he said.

"I have a couple of movies - one for HBO that I might do with Meryl Streep and one that I might do next year," he continued, adding: "I shouldn't say anything until we work it all out."

Stanley admitted that shooting Michael Bay's fourth Transformers film, Age Of Extinction, has been challenging.

"This was a hard year - for the last five months, I was doing this big Transformers movie so I was away a lot. But I just finished so now I can take a little break," he said.

"I like to stay around the house and potter around with the kids and cook," he added.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is in cinemas now.
