Zachary Quinto has said the next Star Trek movie might start shooting next year.
The former Heroes star - who played Spock in 2009's Star Trek and this year's Star Trek Into Darkness - spilled the beans while speaking at the 2013 Galway Film Fleadh, reported BuzzHub.
He said: "Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It's going to be made a lot quicker than the last one.
"That's the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet."
Zachary also suggested that JJ Abrams, who was at the helm of the first two movies, is looking to direct the third instalment.
JJ's involvement in the third Star Trek film has been uncertain, as he is busy working on the eagerly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII.
