Star Wars film to focus on twins?

JJ Abrams is working on the new Star Wars movie

JJ Abrams' new Star Wars movie is rumoured to be about Han Solo and Princess Leia's twin children.

Production on Episode VII is due to start next year, and although little is known about the eagerly anticipated movie the rumour mill is already in overdrive.

And now website Schmoes Know reports that a source has passed on a casting breakdown that JJ will be sending out - which details two of the main characters, twins Jaina and Jacen Solo.

It reads: "Jaina Solo - Female, 17 years old, lead - Jacen's twin sister, one of the greatest Jedis in the galaxy, trained by her uncle Luke Skywalker.

"Jacen Solo - Male, 17 years old, lead - Jaina's twin brother, one of the greatest Jedis in the world. A loner who is constantly struggling with the idea of what's right and what's wrong. Starts to turn to the dark side. Full of conviction that what he is doing is the "right thing". Will eventually become Darth Caedus."

It says the storyline revolves around the twins, who are trained by Luke Skywalker to be the greatest Jedis in the galaxy.

If the details are correct, it adds weight to reports that the franchise's original stars - Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill - could be returning.

The trio are all said to have been in negotiations about roles in the film, and in March Star Wars creator George Lucas - who sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney in a £2.5 billion deal last year - let slip to Business Week that the original cast members were on board.

Star Wars: Episode VII is due to be released in cinemas in 2015.
