Star Wars Rogue One premiere: Stars hit red carpet for London launch
Stars of the latest Star Wars movie have taken to the red carpet at the premiere event for the launch of the new film in London.
As reviews began to pour in for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, lead actress Felicity Jones arrived at the screening at the Tate Modern in central London.
The Oscar-nominated British actress was joined by her co-stars Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna and Donnie Yen at the premiere.
Also in attendance were the film's British director Gareth Edwards and producer Kathleen Kennedy.
Rogue One is a standalone story and forms part of the new Star Wars Anthology series.
The hotly-anticipated blockbuster sees Jones portray Rebel Alliance recruit Jyn Erso, who is asked to join a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, the planet-destroying weapon of the evil Empire.
The movie takes place between Episode III and Episode IV, and is the first of three planned spin-off films based on the Star Wars universe.
It fills the gap between 2005 prequel movie Star Wars Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith and 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope, which was the first of the films to be shot.
