Friday, 27 August 2010
Grown Ups actress Maria is already confirmed in the film, playing a single mother with a child who gets carjacked by a thief, reported TheWrap.
Ron Perlman and Saffron Burrows were previously attached to star in an earlier incarnation of the project, to be helmed by Species II director Peter Medak, and Giovanni Ribisi had also been briefly linked to the lead role.
Shooting is scheduled to kick off next month in Louisiana.
There's already buzz surrounding Stephen's possible involvement, following his appearance in Public Enemies. He next stars in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, and play porn star Dick Shadow in Tom Brady's upcoming comedy Born To Be A Star, and has recently completed filming a key role in Tarsem Singh's Immortals.
Maria's forthcoming appearances include John Wells' drama The Company Men and Beautiful Boy, opposite Michael Sheen. She is currently shooting Abduction with Taylor Lautner and is also set to star in hit-man movie St Vincent.
