Stewart: I can't always vamp it up

Kristen Stewart says she finds it difficult to act cool

Kristen Stewart has said she feels she has been "clumsy" with her public image.

The Twilight star - who recently split from boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson after it emerged she had had an affair with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders - has done her first cover shoot for British Vogue, rocking lace-up leather shorts and a gold jacket.

Kristen, 22, admitted she struggles with playing it cool in the spotlight.

She said: "I know that if you haven't thought about how you want to present a very packaged idea of yourself then it can seem like you lack ambition. But, dude, honestly? I can't.

"People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I'm not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, 'OK, I'm really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public? I wouldn't know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can't."

Speaking about her latest role in the new film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's iconic novel, On The Road, Kristen revealed she related to liberal lives of the Beat Generation.

She said: "That world back then, it just seems freer to me than anything I could ever touch and I'm fully nostalgic for it, even though I wasn't even alive then. It's the loyalty aspect of it all. I love being on the periphery with a group of people who have the same values that I do. People who don't get off on fame, who just like the process of making movies and thrive."

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
