Ben Stiller has revealed he's ready to start work on Zoolander 2 - but is waiting for the official go-ahead.
The funnyman is set to reprise his role as airhead catwalk model Derek Zoolander in the sequel, with Owen Wilson as rival model Hansel and Will Ferrell as Mugatu, but the green light lies with the head honchos at Paramount.
"It's kind of coming along slowly, we have a script that we like and we're just waiting for the studio to figure it out. But I think we all want to do it. We're raring to go, not quite sure where the studio's at. Hopefully it'll come together," the actor said to The Playlist.
The sequel, which has been co-written by Justin Theroux, is largely set in Europe.
"It's ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel 10 years later - though the last movie ended on a happy note, a lot of things have happened in the meantime," Ben said in January.
"Their lives have changed and they're not really relevant any more. It's a new world for them. Will Ferrell is written into the script and he's expressed interest in doing it. I think Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way," he added.
