Sudeikis and Irons for Race drama
Jason Sudeikis and Jeremy Irons have joined the cast of Race.
Stephan James stars as black Olympic legend Jesse Owens, who won four gold medals in the shadow of Hitler's Nazi regime at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, The Wrap reported.
Horrible Bosses star Jason will co-star as Jesse's maverick coach Larry Snyder and Oscar winner Jeremy will play Avery Brundage, the controversial head of the Olympic committee.
Stephen Hopkins will direct t he movie, which starts filming later this month in Montreal and on location at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
Focus Features CEO Peter Schlessel said that they were looking forward to telling "this extraordinary story" adding: "Stephan James is an amazing discovery, a rare star-in-the-making, who has the charisma and talent to embody the incredible spirit of Jesse Owens."
Jason recently starred in We're The Millers and is currently filming Sleeping With Other People, while Jeremy is set to begin filming Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Stephan is filming the Martin Luther King Jr drama Selma.
The new film, written by Anna Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel, has the support of the Owens family.
