Young Apprentice hopeful Maria Doran has survived being fired by Lord Sugar after her team made a meal of their task to sell a cookery book.

But after the Belfast student survived a roasting from the millionaire business guru, Lord Sugar was left wondering: “How do you solve a problem like Maria?”

Lord Sugar had grilled a worried Maria in the boardroom —but then decided to save her based on his admiration for her “forcefulness and bubbliness”.

Maria (17) had found herself in the bottom three after she ending up on this week’s losing side.

Team Platinum managed 7,500 orders for the cookbook they designed, while Odyssey only had 800 orders.

In an effort to save her own skin, Maria said: “I’m really strong and I’m a domineering person. I’m not going to apologise for that.”

Lord Sugar said to her: “I do admire your forcefulness and bubbliness, and on that basis I’m going to let you remain in this process.”

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Gemini:

A friend will tell you about a job opening at their company. This lead will turn into a dead end. Don't set your hopes on this possibility. Instead of looking for another job, concentrate on fulfilling your duties. Tempers are running high. The last thing you want is to catch the attention of an irritable superior. If someone does criticise your work, remain silent. These remarks may be terribly unfair, but defending yourself will only make the situation worse. Breathe deep. This, too, shall pass.More
