Quentin Tarantino has released his list of the year's top movies, praising the latest offerings from filmmakers including Woody Allen and Gore Verbinski.

The Oscar-winning director selected Woody's Blue Jasmine, which starred Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin, and Gore's The Lone Ranger, which featured Johnny Depp, for his top 10, according to The Quentin Tarantino Archives.

He also included Jill Soloway's Afternoon Delight, Richard Linklater's B efore Midnight, James Wan's The Conjuring, Joe Swanberg's Drinking Buddies and Noah Baumbach's Frances Ha.

Gravity, which stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock and is generating awards buzz, was also on his list, as were Kick Ass 2, which was directed by Jeff Wadlow, and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's This Is The End.

Quentin has released his personal list of top movies in other years, where he has picked out award winners such as The Social Network and The Artist.
