Tatum in line for Hateful Eight
Channing Tatum is the latest name to be linked to Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.
Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samuel L Jackson, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern and Kurt Russell are already set to star in the post-Civil War Western, which Tarantino almost abandoned after the script was leaked online.
Now Deadline has reported that Channing is circling a major role in the movie.
The Hateful Eight is due to begin shooting in January and is set to become the largest 70mm release in 20 years, as Tarantino does not like digital filmmaking.
The film follows "the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere".
Tarantino had scrapped plans for The Hateful Eight after details were leaked, but after holding a star-studded reading of the script in April he decided to press on.
