Tatum: Real White House not stylish

Channing Tatum has confessed he doesn't think the real life staff at the White House dress as stylishly as he does for his new movie.

The Hollywood hunk plays security office John Cale in director Roland Emmerich's action movie White House Down, fighting to save the US President, played by Jamie Foxx, after a terrorist attack on his home.

Channing starts the film in a designer suit and then strips down to a Die Hard-style white vest.

He revealed: "Roland was like, 'You guys still have to be sexy!' He put me in a three-piece suit going for a secret service job, with combat boots on!

"Roland has his own style, he wanted everyone to look good in the movie. I bet you if you went in the White House people wouldn't be looking alright, 'cause they're all just wearing unfitted stuff. But he wanted everybody nice and tight.

"We made the look of the movie specific to pay homage to the [Die Hard's] John McClanes. But I liked it, it was comfy."

Channing and Jamie confessed they loved working together as a double act after meeting at a film convention last year and hitting it off.

The Step Up star revealed: "I met the guy before at the Summer of Sony function and we got along really well. He was DJing and me and my wife were dancing. It wasn't a surprise at all, he's from the south, I'm from the south, we get along."
