Taylor-Johnson in Quicksilver talks
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has said he is still in discussions over playing Quicksilver in The Avengers sequel, Age Of Ultron.
The Nowhere Boy star has been in talks with director Joss Whedon and producer Kevin Feige to find a new look for the character, since his Kick-Ass co-star Evan Peters is set to portray the same character in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
"It's not official yet. I'm flattered to have been asked to be a part of that. We're just talking back and forth with Joss, Kevin Feige and the guys at Marvel, so we'll see," he said.
"I don't just rock up and put on the suit. I'm not an actor who does that. I get bored of that. What I'm trying to do when I speak to them is to create the character, putting aside the super power, and find his look, so (Kick-Ass character) Dave Lizewski wouldn't look anything like this guy."
The 23-year-old actor added: "If I can't do that, then I think we probably won't go there."
Aaron, who reprises his wannabe superhero role in Kick-Ass 2 and will star in Gareth Edwards' Godzilla remake, revealed he wants to continue pushing himself.
"I've done varied characters and interesting, independent dramas and then I did Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging and no matter what I did, I immediately got pigeonholed and imaged in a certain way. That led me to Kick-Ass because I wanted to create a character that was the complete opposite to that," he said.
"Now I need to go completely to the other end after each role, from Savages to Anna Karenina or Kick-Ass, which was back-to-back with Nowhere Boy. I need to do that. It's a cleansing process."
