The Island With Bear Grylls sees everyone from a retired police woman to an unemployed graduate test their survival skills.

But things get ugly on the remote Pacific island, after days without food, on the Channel 4 show.

A bottle of olive oil, washed up on the beach, provides much excitement among the islanders, who are desperate for calories, but it is short lived.

The second episode saw Freddie Wilson, who was the island’s youngest inhabitant, quit and leave the show, calling the experience “hell on earth”.
