The Rock to play The Fall Guy?

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson looks set to be The Fall Guy in a movie adaptation of the 80s TV series.

The wrestler-turned-action star is currently in talks about taking on the role of a stuntman who boosts his income by doing bounty hunter work, which was played by Lee Majors in the series.

Terminator Salvation filmmaker McG is in negotiations about directing the reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.

The Fall Guy ran from 1981 to 1986 and also starred Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas.

Plans to reboot the series as a Hollywood movie have been around for some time, with Nicolas Cage once being linked to the lead part.

Dwayne has been filming Brett Ratner's Hercules, in which he plays the title role, and is about to start work on Fast And Furious 7.
