Charlize Theron is in talks to produce and star in indie movie American Express.
Australian stuntman-turned-director Nash Edgerton is attached to direct the project, which will be seeking finance at Cannes, TheWrap reported.
Plot details are currently unknown, but Charlize would play the lead role as well as produce through her company Denver & Delilah.
The South African star began producing in 2003 with Monster, the movie which she went on to win the best actress Oscar for. She most recently acquired the rights to produce a movie version of Susannah Cahalan's bestselling book Brain On Fire: My Month Of Madness, which will star Dakota Fanning.
Nash moved from stunt coordinating to directing short films, before helming critically acclaimed Australian thriller The Square.
