Thomas Sangster: I want psycho role

Thomas Sangster has revealed he would like to indulge his darker side to play a villain.

The 23-year-old may be best known for his good guy roles, having starred in Love Actually, Nanny McPhee and playing the young John Lennon in Nowhere Boy, but he said he'd relish portraying a bad boy.

"I haven't played a baddie yet. I'd like to play a really bad, weird psychopath. I think that would be great fun," he said.

The Game Of Thrones actor said exploring the darker mindset would be a fascinating process, adding: "I think it would be interesting. Everyone has a bit of psychopath in them - it's just finding it."

Thomas - reprised his voice role as Ferb Fletcher in the new animated adventure, Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel, which sees the famous duo pair up with Marvel's superheroes.

The actor said he would like to see a cross-over between Phineas And Ferb and Star Wars in the future.

"It's nice to watch something you're part of, and see two elements together. It's always interesting. I'd like to mix it with something big - mixing it with Star Wars. Something big and culty like that. That would be fun," he said.

:: Phineas And Ferb is shown on Disney XD.
