Thor stars find inner peace on set
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston have revealed they took time out from their macho roles in new film Thor by indulging in some relaxing yoga.
The pair play gods Thor and Loki in the Kenneth Branagh-directed action film and were keen to put on a show of strength for their co-star, Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman.
"When we first met the three of us came over and Natalie Portman was also there and while Kenneth was talking to Natalie we were dispatched to go and train. Chris had me lifting tree trunks and logs and logs," Tom said.
Australian star Chris continued: "Tom taught me yoga, that's a good combination. We were doing yoga and I said, 'Natalie Portman's going to be here in a second, I can't be seen doing this, let's go break something'."
The film teams Chris' character with other big-screen Marvel Comic idols, including Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America and Mark Ruffalo as the Incredible Hulk.
Meanwhile, director Kenneth said the Black Swan actress put her muscle-bound co-stars to shame with her physical prowess.
"She was so flexible she was halfway through her training for Black Swan and she would just drape a leg over the edge of a sofa, and be incredibly physically impressive, shaming us all," he added.
Thor is due for release on April 27.
