Game Of Thrones director Alan Taylor is set to direct Thor 2, it's been reported.
The experienced TV director will replace Patty Jenkins, who was removed from the project earlier this month, according to Deadline.
The sequel to this year's hit Thor - which was directed by Kenneth Branagh - is scheduled for release in 2013.
It will see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as the Norse god cast out to live among humans.
In the meantime, fans will be able to see Hemsworth team up with other Marvel stars in The Avengers.
Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner also star in the blockbuster, which is due out next year.
