Tim Burton is reportedly in talks to make a Pinocchio movie.
The Alice In Wonderland director might take the reins of a live action film about the wooden puppet, according to the Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.
And it seems he has already indicated that he would like to see Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr in the role of woodcarver Geppetto.
Sources suggest Downey Jr is interested in the project, which is being developed at Warner Bros, but no deals have been signed so far.
Burton isn't the only director interested in the Carlo Collodi fairytale - Guillermo Del Toro is currently making a movie about the marionette, although his will be a 3D stop motion animated adaptation.
