Tom Hardy to play both Kray twins?

Tom Hardy is tipped to play both of the Kray twins on the big screen.

The British actor is currently in talks to play gangsters Ronald and Reginald Kray in the crime movie, which has the working title of Legend, reported Screen Daily.

Sources have said the film is one of several projects that Tom, 36, is considering.

The film was penned by LA Confidential writer Brian Helgeland, who will also direct, and will "chart the tortured and unique relationship" between the criminal brothers.

The notorious twins committed a series of crimes in London in the 50s and 60s. They were jailed for life in 1968.

The infamous twins have been portrayed on the big screen before, including 1990 film The Krays which saw them played by Gary and Martin Kemp.
