Toy Story rumours dashed by Disney

Tom Hanks voiced the role of Woody in the Toy Story films

Walt Disney Pictures have denied reports that Toy Story 4 is in the works.

Reports circulated that the likes of Woody and Buzz Lightyear would be returning in another instalment, with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack reprising their voice roles.

But a spokesperson for Walt Disney Pictures told BuzzFeed that "nothing official" has been announced about Toy Story 4, and that the studio is investigating how the rumour started.

The first Toy Story film was released in 1995, spawning two sequels in 1999 and 2010.
